KERR DENTAL Take 1 A-Type Hydrophilic Polyvinyl Siloxane Impression Material

Features:

  • Indicated for taking precise impressions for crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays, implants, and laminates.
  • Allows for single-step impressions using two different consistencies of impression material.
  • Hydrophilic: Performs well in moist environments, ensuring accurate impressions even under challenging conditions.
  • The nano structure ensures that the material captures detailed and accurate impressions without applying excessive pressure.
  • Dimensional stability is maintained for up to 14 days without deformation, ensuring reliable results over time.
  • A single impression can yield multiple models, providing versatility in dental practice.
  • The syringe format of the secondary impression material allows for direct application to the working area, ensuring ease and precision.

APPLICATION - Monophase Technique:

  1. Use an automatic mixer (Kerr Volume Mixer) or Kerr silicone gun system for the primary impression material.
  2. Attach a tip to the single-use wash (secondary impression material) syringe, making it ready for use.
  3. Dispense the primary impression material from the automatic mixer into the impression tray.
  4. Using the syringe system, apply the secondary material directly to the prepared area, starting from the gingival margin and working towards the prepared teeth.
  5. Insert the impression tray, already filled with the primary material, into the mouth.
  6. Once the impression material has set, remove the impression in a single step, capturing the prepared area in full detail.

Special Considerations: Certain substances, such as sulfur, aluminum chloride, and nitrogen compounds, can affect the setting time of vinyl polysiloxanes. If retraction cords containing ferric sulfate are used, ensure that the area is thoroughly rinsed with water afterward.

For machine-mixed stone model casting, allow 20 minutes before pouring the impression. If hand-mixed, wait for 1 hour before pouring.
